MICAFlow: An Open-Access MRI Preprocessing Pipeline

MICAFlow helps process structural, FLAIR/T2w, and diffusion MRI faster and more consistently, bringing advanced neuroimaging tools closer to clinical use.

MICAFlow: An Open-Access MRI Preprocessing Pipeline

Congratulations to Ian Goodall-Halliwell from our software team, and everyone involved in the development of MICAFlow, an open-access MRI preprocessing pipeline for structural, FLAIR/T2-weighted, and diffusion MRI data.

MICAFlow was built to make complex neuroimaging workflows faster, more consistent, and easier for researchers to reproduce. We are proud to see Ian contribute to a project that reflects many of the same principles that guide our work at BrainScores.

Why open and reproducible tooling matters

Tools like MICAFlow help bring advanced MRI methods closer to clinical use by making neuroimaging research easier to use, reproduce, and build on. Open pipelines reduce the friction of harmonizing data across scanners, protocols, and sites, a prerequisite for measurement you can trust across studies and patient populations.

Open pipelines such as MICAFlow give researchers a transparent and standardized foundation they can examine, reproduce, and build upon. By reducing variability in how MRI data are processed, these tools can support more reliable research and help bring advanced neuroimaging methods closer to clinical use.

Congratulations to the MICAFlow team

We congratulate Ian and everyone involved in MICAFlow on this achievement and on their contribution to the open neuroimaging community.
